With nominations for awards in three categories, hopes were high for the Club at this years awards ceremony held in the Turnberry Resort.

The first opportunity of the night for Best Golf Course went to the Ailsa Course at Turnberry but, next up, the award for Best Golf Secretariat was presented to the North Berwick Golf Club, in recognition of the excellent service provided by the Advance Bookings Staff, Norma and Sally. Congratulations go to them in winning this award for a second time and for the high regard and reputation they have in the golf tourism industry. 

Sam Fox narrowly missed out in the award for Best Caddie Master which went to Davy Gilchrist at Kingsbarns. Perhaps, next year, it will be a case of "third time lucky" for Sam who is clearly one of the most popular Starters in Scotland.

There was more mention and further success for the town as both the Marine Hotel and North Berwick Golf Lodge went on to win awards in their respective categories for accommodation providers.
