Our Managing Secretary, Chris Spencer, has been shortlisted from some fifty nominations to reach the final six candidates for the Golf Club Managers Association Secretary of the Year Award. The final selection process has involved Members from the panel visiting the Club to interview both the Captain and Chris and, just recently, Chris has endured another round of questioning from the full panel. The winner will be announced at the GCMA Conference in Leicester in mid November.
Given the challenges faced by Chris in his first few years at North Berwick it would be fitting recognition of his efforts to win the award at this time.
